Who is Dr. McLean
Dr. McLean is a dentist with 17 years of experience and a deep interest in the intersection of science and clinical care.
~
Early in his career, he began noticing a pattern; patients would receive routine cleanings, yet the same bacterial imbalances continued to return.
~
This raised a fundamental question - was conventional dentistry truly addressing the underlying ecology of the oral environment?
~
That led Dr. McLean to study the oral microbiome, the complex ecosystem of bacteria in the mouth, and its broader role in systemic health.
~
His work now focuses on how microbial balance influences inflammation, nitric oxide production, cardiovascular health, and metabolic function.
~
"Your mouth is the gateway to your body.
When your oral environment is in balance, you feel healthier from the inside out"
When Good Bacteria Thrive, Health Follows
A strong microbiome is your first line of defense

Our approach works with your biology, calming disruptive microbes, while nurturing the beneficial ones to strengthen your natural defenses
The result?
A balanced, oxygen-rich
environment where good bacteria flourish
Your biome is a living ecosystem which protects your whole body

Stress, diet, medication and harsh products can allow harmful bacteria to take over

The Process
from start to finish
01
Characterizing Your Baseline Oral And Gut Biome
Through salivary and gut testing, we establish your existing microbial fingerprint
02
Nurturing Beneficial Oral And Gut Microbes
We then improve and stabilize your oral and gut biome using prebiotics, probiotics and postbiotics.
03
Evaluation and Discussion
Through follow-up salivary and gut testing and tele-health check-ins, we continually monitor your improvement
... & The Science
But, How?

Sugar Shield
A sugar-decoy molecule blocks harmful bacteria from accessing their fuel source - sugar.
This prevents plaque formation and starves the bad microbes

Prebiotic Switch
Next, we activate protein metabolism in beneficial bacteria, helping them survive and thrive.
They out-compete pathogens and promote healthy oral pH

Reinforcements
Minerals and pH modulators strengthen the teeth and create a better environment for beneficial microbes
